Who we are

The publisher of this site has not yet been configured.

What we collect

We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect names, email addresses or payment details through this site. Standard web server logs record the request, the time, the referring page, the user agent and a truncated IP address, and are used only to keep the site working and to detect abuse. The one exception is the report form described below, and even that asks for nothing that identifies you.

If you send us a report

Venue pages carry a short form for telling us something the map does not record — whether there are power sockets, whether the room is quiet enough to talk in. It asks for nothing about you: no name, no email address, no account. We store what you picked, the note you typed if you typed one, and the time.

We also store a one-way hash of your IP address, salted with a secret that is not in the database. It exists so we can limit how many reports arrive from one place in an hour and spot an automated flood. The address itself is never written down, and the hash cannot be turned back into it. It is deleted with the report.

Reports are read by a person before anything appears on the site. Approved ones are shown as a count — “3 readers report power sockets” — never as your words attached to your identity, because we do not have your identity. Free-text notes are used to decide whether to approve, and are not published. Nothing you send is merged into the OpenStreetMap data or passed to anyone else.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics package. Nothing on these pages tracks you across sites.

Advertising

This site currently shows no advertising. If that changes, this section will name the ad network, explain that third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits, and describe the consent management platform used for visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland along with how to change your consent choices.

Third-party content

Maps are loaded only when you click “Show map”. Doing so requests map tiles and the Leaflet library from third-party servers (openstreetmap.org and unpkg.com), which will see your IP address and user agent as part of that request. If you never click it, no such request is made. Venue photographs, where present, are served from this domain rather than hotlinked.

Your rights

If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability over personal data we hold about you, and the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Data about venues

Venue records on this site describe businesses and public places, sourced from OpenStreetMap — see our data licence page. If you represent a venue and want its listing corrected or removed, contact us; note that the underlying data lives in OpenStreetMap and is best corrected there.

Changes

We will update this page if our practices change, and revise the date at the top.
