The city guides on this site are generated from OpenStreetMap and ranked by a published rule set. These articles are the other half: written by hand, about the things a database cannot record — table height, acoustics, whether anyone minds you staying for three hours.
Each one ends by linking into the cities where we have enough mapped data to rank venues for that scenario, so you can go from the general point to a specific shortlist.
